Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of RestoreLens ("the Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
RestoreLens is an AI-powered photo restoration tool. You upload a photo; we process it through third-party AI models and return a restored version. Free use is rate- limited and watermarked. Paid credits remove the watermark and increase the daily limit.
2. Your account
You may use the Service anonymously for free uploads. To purchase credits or use them, you'll need an email-based account (passwordless, sign-in via magic link). You're responsible for keeping access to the email tied to your account.
3. Your photos and content
You retain all rights to your photos. By uploading, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to:
- Store your photo temporarily (up to 24 hours) on our servers.
- Route it to the third-party AI providers listed in our Privacy Policy (currently OpenAI's
gpt-image-2via Replicate) to produce a restored version. - Deliver the restored version back to you.
RestoreLens does not operate or train AI models. We do not share your photos with third parties for marketing or any purpose beyond delivering your result. Our AI providers operate under their own terms of service, which generally prohibit training on customer inputs — see Section 4 of our Privacy Policy for the current provider list and links to their policies. After 24 hours, photos are automatically deleted from our storage.
You represent and warrant that you own the rights to any photo you upload, or have the necessary permissions from the subjects/copyright holders. You may not upload photos that:
- Depict child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any minor in a sexualized context.
- Are intended for harassment, doxing, or non-consensual deepfake creation.
- Infringe third-party copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
- Contain illegal content under your local jurisdiction.
We may remove uploads that violate these rules and terminate accounts of repeat violators.
4. Payment and credits
Paid credits are sold in three tiers (Single Photo, Starter Pack, Family Pack). All sales are final except as described in our Refund Policy. Credits expire one year from purchase. Payments are processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record; Paddle is the seller of record for your transaction, and their terms also apply. You may see "Paddle" on your card statement.
5. Service quality
AI photo restoration is a best-effort service. Results vary depending on the input photo's condition. We do not guarantee a specific quality level. If you're not satisfied, see our Refund Policy.
6. Availability
We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Scheduled maintenance, third-party model outages (Replicate, Supabase, Cloudflare), and other factors may cause temporary downtime. We are not liable for losses due to downtime.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RestoreLens is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from photos you uploaded that violate Section 3 (third-party rights, illegal content, etc.).
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Unused paid credits are non-refundable upon termination for cause.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be announced on the homepage and via email to active users. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Egypt. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Egypt.
